Terms
Plain words. Honest commitments.
The terms below cover how you can use this website and the free audit tool. Project work has its own short, signed contract — these terms do not replace it.

1. About PixelCarve
PixelCarve Digital (“PixelCarve,” “we,” “us”) is a sole-proprietorship web studio based in Mississauga, Ontario, Canada. By using pixelcarvedigital.com or our free SEO audit tool, you agree to these terms.
2. Use of the website
You may browse the site, submit the contact form, and use the free audit tool for any lawful purpose. You agree not to:
- Submit URLs you do not own or are not authorized to audit.
- Submit information that is false, misleading, or impersonates another person.
- Attempt to scrape, reverse-engineer, or overload the site or its APIs.
- Use the site to send spam or to violate the rights of others.
3. The free audit tool
The audit tool runs Google PageSpeed Insights against the URL you submit and uses Anthropic’s Claude model to generate a written analysis of the results. It is provided as-is, free of charge, for informational purposes only.
- No warranty: the report is automated and may contain errors, simplifications, or out-of-date guidance. It is not professional advice.
- No guarantee of results: implementing any suggestion does not guarantee improved rankings, conversions, or traffic.
- Authorization: by submitting a URL, you confirm you have the right to test it. You are solely responsible if you submit a URL you do not own.
- Fair use: we may rate-limit or block submissions that abuse the tool.
4. Project work
When you hire PixelCarve to design and build a website, the relationship is governed by a separate, short written agreement that we both sign. The headline terms are publicly stated here so there are no surprises:
- Fixed price: the published rate (currently $2,495 CAD) is the total price for the scope agreed in writing. No hourly creep.
- 50/50 payment: 50% to start, 50% on launch. Final payment is due before the site goes live on your domain.
- 14-day delivery: from kickoff, assuming you provide content and feedback within agreed windows. Delays on your side may extend the timeline.
- Scope:additional pages, features, or design rounds beyond what’s in the signed scope are quoted separately before any work begins.
- Refunds: the deposit covers discovery, design, and initial build time and is non-refundable once work has started. If we cancel before delivery, the deposit is refunded in full.
5. Ownership and intellectual property
- Your content: you keep all rights to text, images, video, and brand assets you provide. You grant us a limited licence to use them solely to build and operate your site.
- Final site: upon receipt of final payment, you own the design, code, and content of your delivered website.
- Our toolkit: we retain ownership of any reusable components, libraries, and methodology we bring to the project.
- Portfolio rights: we may feature finished work in our portfolio, case studies, and marketing unless you ask us in writing not to.
- This site’s content:the design, copy, and code of pixelcarvedigital.com are © PixelCarve Digital. Don’t copy them.
6. Third-party services
The site and the audit tool rely on third parties including Vercel (hosting), Resend (email), Anthropic (AI), and Google PageSpeed Insights. Their availability and accuracy is outside our direct control. We’ll do our best to keep things running, but we cannot guarantee uninterrupted service.
7. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, PixelCarve’s total liability arising out of or related to your use of this site or the free audit tool is limited to CAD $100. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, or special damages — including lost profits, lost bookings, or lost data — even if we’ve been advised of the possibility.
For project work, liability is governed by the signed agreement and is, in any case, capped at the total fees paid for that project.
Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot legally be excluded under Ontario or Canadian law.
8. Indemnity
You agree to indemnify PixelCarve against claims arising from your misuse of the site, your submission of URLs or content you do not have the right to submit, or your violation of these terms.
9. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your access to the site or the audit tool if we reasonably believe you’re violating these terms. Project work termination is governed by the signed project agreement.
10. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein. Any dispute will be resolved in the courts of Ontario, except where local consumer-protection law gives you the right to bring a claim elsewhere.
11. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. The “last updated” date at the top of this page reflects the most recent change. Continued use of the site after an update means you accept the new terms.
